To reach the Bhadraj temple trek start point, you need to drive from Dehradun to Chakrata first. Chakrata is 98 km from Dehradun, a drive of about 3 hours by car. Taxis and buses are available from Dehradun to Chakrata. From Chakrata town, you drive a further 15 km to the village of Vicky to arrive at the Bhadraj temple trek base camp.

From Vicky village, the ascent to the hilltop temple is a moderate 3 km long hike through the forests. The trail winds its way up with some steep sections, taking about 2-3 hours to cover. The route has signboards and is mostly straightforward to follow without a guide.
